Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support
Overview
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) comprises of a series of protocols
and clinical interventions that are used in managing life threatening medical
emergencies such as cardiac arrest and stroke. The aim of ACLS is to enable the
learners to utilize global best practices in managing and achieving the best possible
outcome for individuals who are experiencing a life-threatening event.

- Recognize and manage pre-arrest conditions such as symptomatic bradycardia
- Demonstrate different airway management skills used in resuscitation
- Discuss management of acute coronary syndrome and stroke
- Interpret ECG changes and learn its management specific to cardio pulmonary
arrest - Demonstrate effective communication as a member and leader of a resuscitation
team
