Clinical Decision Making in High Dependency midwifery care
Overview
Nurses play a vital role in maximizing health and healthcare experiences of
pregnant women, new mothers and infants. Clinical judgment, specialized clinical
knowledge and decision-making skills are essential in identifying early clinical
deterioration in women requiring high dependency midwifery care. This module will
enable participants to rehearse and refine practice in relation to the recognition,
response and escalation of care of the acutely unwell women during pregnancy,
intrapartum and post-natal period
