IV therapy
Overview
Intravenous (IV) Therapy is a basic but vital skill used in every clinical setting for administering medication, parental nutrition, blood transfusion and maintaining fluid and electrolyte balance. Peripheral IV cannulation is a fundamental nursing skill that requires rigorous training and reinforcement to avoid procedural complications. The aim of this module is to provide nurses with knowledge and skills on the principles & techniques of IV cannulation and procedures related to that.
