Therapeutic Communication
Overview
Therapeutic communication acts as a predominant foundation of nurse-client
relationship that serves specific purpose within the health care context. Various
communication techniques are used to advance the physical and emotional
well-being of clients. The aim of this module is to train the nurses on various verbal
and nonverbal communication techniques to improve the quality of interaction with
patients in a non-judgmental way, while showing empathy and concern.
