Nurses provide life-saving and life-enriching care throughout the world. Often they are the first providers of care – or even the primary providers – for patients with HIV. Nurses need training in this specialized field to offer valuable service to doctors in HIV care and to enhance their competencies and skills.<\/p>\n

Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) is caused by the Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV). It is a disease that attacks the cells in the body\u2019s immune system, rendering them useless for fighting off infections and illnesses. Currently, it is one of the most deadly and frightening medical conditions on the planet.<\/p>\n

However, this does not mean that AIDS victims are doomed to a life of uncomfortable misery. AIDS care nurses are some of the most prominent caregivers in the lives of many AIDS patients.
